The Fine Print

Teens in 7th-12th grades may join the Teen Summer Reading Program. If you’re going into 7th, you can choose either the Intermediate or Teen program. You can read any book (which includes audio books, graphic novels, or e-books) at your reading level. If you are reading an e-book, please see a librarian at Information Services before the book is returned on your device. You MUST have a valid library card and the books must be checked out from the Hammond Public Library. Bring your reading log with you every time you return a book to the Information Services Desk on the 2nd floor. When you finish a reading log, you will be asked to write a few sentences about one of the books you read, you will get a small prize, and you will be entered into the drawing for a $125 Best Buy gift card. You can complete up to 12 reading logs. Don’t forget to come to Teen programs—each time you attend a program, you get an extra entry into the drawing!
